Barron’s Picks up the Pixar/Disney comments

In poking around Barron’s, I just noticed that their “Hot Research” page picked up our Steve Jobs/Michael Eisner discussion: “Is Disney/Pixar the sequel to Apple/NeXT?

Pretty cool!

If you want to see a real “gloves off” article about Eisner & Co., check out Daniel Gross’ prescient “Louse in the Mouse House: Why Disney’s Michael Eisner should be fired.”

Oh, and its from August 6, 2002 . . .

This past June, my husband, my 21 year year old son, 12 year old son, and 10 year old daughter came to Disney(for what turned out to be only 3-day stay)for a brief whirlwind frolic through the wonderland only Disney can provide. Because of the unplanned gap in ages within our family we of course , strove to accomodate all ages. We of course, had a blast. even though we did not get to see as much as we wanted or anywhere near it. We wouldn’t like to consider ourselves “everyday Americans”,but most likely are! We are quite straight, Catholic and believe it or not, maybe a little worldly. I know this sounds like quite a mouthful, but,I feel like I must say this.
This vacation took a lot of planning for a year, to work around all schudules, college, work, school…
My travel agent may have said something to the effect of whom we would be sharing our park stay with, but it went in one ear and out the other, since it really isn’t that big of a deal to us. On the contrary, we loved it, the gay guests were very polite to all of us, we choose to make it a life-learning experience for our younger children ( our older son found out on his own while in Downtown Disney by himself one night…)We feel more enlightened and grateful to share our planet with such a beautiful and fun-loving group of God’s(yes, God’s) creation’s. By the way, We surely had a few things to explain to our little kids, but, we just did it.
    Sincerely,
