Very interesting evening. Richard Clarida is an extremely nice guy. We spent the 15 minutesin the green room exchanging economic jokes. I can see why his mix of reasonable economics and pleasant politics makes him a likely candidate to take Ben Bernanke’s seat when Bernanke replaces Greenspan.
Apparently, I was amusing, as I cracked the two of them up repeatedly. How often do you get to make a future Fed Governor laugh at Germany and Pets.com?
