T-Heads Brick

Mrs. Big Picture asks me last week what I want for my birthday (tomorrow), and for the first time in my life, I do not know. Between travelling and working on a few special projects, I actually have no idea.

One thought popped into my head:

Any T Head fans who have this — or have listened to it — please share your thoughts (re: quality of re-engineering and the dual disc).

my take on this act: Instrumentally usually very good (frantz/weymouth) , compositionally usually interesting, lyrically occasionally pretentious, but my god is David Byrne the most horrible vocalist to ever front a successful pop/rock act? I’m talking purely as a ‘voice’ here. At this point they strike me as extremely cerebral, but I used to find them good. Well, different strokes…..

Buford, I’d assume that Mrs. Barry knows that Mr. Barry is a TalkingHeads fan and is asking about the technical quality of this product, not for a musical adjudication.

Which is why I’m not going to suggest a smilar box of Bach’s Fugues, because I know that’s going nowhere.

    Barry –

Happy Birthday – we share the same day!

    It’s a day of Libra genius…

And I’m sending my missus the link for the same TH box.

Best for today and many, many more,
    fatbear

ask mrs. R to buy you “the number” — that book I still see on your wishlist.

Have you read clayton christenson’s “the innovator’s solution? – get that..

Or have her take you to the movies and check out al pacino’s latest masterpiece —“two for the money”.

Every critic dissed it but i liked it.

Jonathan Alter at Altercation (or someone on his site) reviewed it about a week ago. It got stellar reviews.
