    Aside from the fact you can’t see your track information and also won’t be able to control your iPod without taking off your headphones, it’s a simply wonderful idea.

    If Apple do manage at some point to produce a non-scratchable player (or at least one that doesn’t scratch so easily) which also plays appropriate music gaplessly, now that would be “pretty cool”.

    In a few years hence people will be laughing at all the fashion victims who bought an MP3 player primarily for its looks, but weren’t able to use it without first swaddling it in an “invisible shield” and protective case.
