Researchers Wanted

Back in April, I mentioned I was considering hiring an intern for the office. That’s on hold —  probably until the fall — mostly because another project has been fast tracked.

I need to hire two researchers (paid) and one research intern (unpaid). Here is a brief description of the work:

-You will be assisting me in the research and preparation of an extended
essay for future publication. The working title is Bailout Nation, and we will be looking at the history of corporate bailouts in the United States.

-Areas of research will include the
Specific companies and corporate action; 20th-century corporate American history; Congressional
activity, legislation, and budgeting;
Federal Reserve;

-You will have a background preferably in History, Journalism, Finance, and/or Business. I assume that the ideal candidate would be
either a undergraduate or graduate student, but that is not written in
stone.

-You can work independently, from your home or office, anywhere in the world;

-Starting May 27 (right after Memorial Day) or sooner, the position will run through the summer, ending sometime before Labor Day.

-Excellent research and strong writing skills are a must.

-Must have the ability to follow directions, but also be able to work independently and creatively.

-Compensation will include an hourly salary, research credit in the eventual publication (a future recommendation is also possible).

-Please note that this is not a full time position; over the next 15 weeks is likely not to amount to more than 150 hours worth of work.

Those interested in applying for this position send a resume to Bailoutnation-at-Yahoo-dot-com.

Do not send, but have available, a writing sample or two.
