    It looks like Google does this by looking at the searches with words related to the symptoms of the flu. It turns out that this is a leading indicator of breakouts by ~2 weeks. I wonder if you could do the same mining with stock names, indexes, etc. Also, what if you could mine Bloomberg terminal activity? Hmmmm…..
