Anyone have an idea about how can I transfer my Technorati Rating from the old typepad site to the new domain?

On the claim form, do I just claim a new blog (via this: Technorati Profile), or is there a way

Bad news is you can’t do it.

Changing URLs also kills your Google rankings for a bit. Google basically puts new sites / sites that changed URLS in a “sandbox” and watches them for a month or so before deciding if they are legit.

Barry, have you considered putting a redirect on your old blog? A Meta refresh redirect wouldn’t interfere with any of your already built up rankings with Google or others. It would slowly redirect that traffic, and that credability to your new blog.

    Ask your geeks about it.

Stick this code in your old blog and when a user loads the page, it will redirect in 2 seconds to the new site.

Yeah, that’s on the list for December 1 — I am going to dual post for a while, then just use the 1st para at the old site, with a redirtect for the rest of the post to the new site.

    Then, the final redirect . . .
