Participants can enter and exit at will. Product differentiation is infinite. The industry has a broad diversity of niche markets, both heterogeneous and homogeneous. On one hand, the industry might use self reliance to relieve it's problems. But this is the low cost option. The demand curve for goods and services appears to be shifting down and to the right but the industry is broad and deep, with the potential to scream and gush if properly stimulated.
