Kind of OT, but not really. How is the market responding to BO's notion of reforming government contracting. Is this a distraction from earmarks? God knows government contracting is a mess. A Whore's bed.

What ever happened to the dept head (GSA?, or GAO?) that recently resigned in disgust?

Why isn't he on BO's team? Not a team player? I think the markets are still struggling to read BO, as we all are. He can pontificate all he wants and spend more. Where exactly does efficiency and lack of corruption start showing up?

I'll tell you this, every time I think about those bailout bums , WB looks more and more like a freakin' saint.

jack,

this was good. I came to many of the same conclusions after I read the letter, heard the media, then read it again.

Jack:

Your letter almost reads like hero worship of Uncle Warren.

Hmmm...what if he's lost his crystal ball..the man is 78 and BRKA is down about the same as the market..

I think I agree with Lefty...

Jack, maybe when Warren said "Buy American" then he was buying 2-year and 5-year Treasuries like I was...?
I wouldn't be surprised if ol' WB was nibbling on a few equities yesterday afternoon, chuckling as he did so.

Looks like you got your 6-handle. We will not see a significant rally until employment stops deteriorating.
