Wasn't there some recent news about a criminal investigation into companies dealing with munis?

I would not touch muni funds with a ten foot pole. I tried that a number of years back and felt like I was getting picked clean for a "CD less tax" return.

I suppose the big guys that can buy the original bonds (spelled China) can fare better, but the current outcome is simply TARP phase 2.

There's only one way any muni is going to survive their promises: the Fed rescue plan. But what's most interesting is it won't rescue the munis. It will rescue the muni holders.

In other words, there will be MUCH better muni deals out there in the future, after the defaults.
Did I mention defaults?

This could be the next investor graveyard for the unwary. Interest rates are headed higher, by hook or by crook.
