    The last comments about per capita CO2 and so on always strike me as odd, as if it’s perfectly acceptable to increase your country’s population to infinity.

    A serious problem with world resources and CO2 emissions is simply overpopulation. And that is an Asian problem where 2/3rds of the world lives. It is almost taboo to even mention this, so it is always completely ignored.
