While yesterday's US stock market close was poor, Asia and Europe didn't follow today as debt in Greece, Spain, Portugal, etc... rallied, their CDS narrowed and stocks bounced. The Greek finance minister said January tax revenues came in above expectations and that spending was below target for the month and said "that means the deficit reduction for January is well within what we have promised." The last comments about per capita CO2 and so on always strike me as odd, as if it’s perfectly acceptable to increase your country’s population to infinity.
A serious problem with world resources and CO2 emissions is simply overpopulation. And that is an Asian problem where 2/3rds of the world lives. It is almost taboo to even mention this, so it is always completely ignored.
