Fascinating discussion with one of my favorite business writers: Roger Lowenstein on Charlie Rose, circa 1995 discussing Buffett: The Making of an American Capitalist.

I quote Lowenstein’s When Genius Failed extensively in Bailout Nation. I’d love to get a copy to him, but I cannot find his email address anywhere (except Portfolio, which is now deceased).

If anyone knows how to reach him, please let me know . . .

Please use the comments to demonstrate your own ignorance, unfamiliarity with empirical data, ability to repeat discredited memes, and lack of respect for scientific knowledge. Also, be sure to create straw men and argue against things I have neither said nor even implied. Any irrelevancies you can mention will also be appreciated. Lastly, kindly forgo all civility in your discourse . . . you are, after all, anonymous.

I don’t know how to reach him, but I just wanted to give a second vote of approval on When Genius Failed. I read that book 3 years ago and loved every page.

I picked up a copy of Bailout Nation today. Love it!

In 2001 When Genius Failed was required reading in my banking training program at CS. Unfortunately, recent history would lead me to believe that other firms (BS, LEH, ML) didn’t do the same.

Barry, can you suggest a reading list for future training programs? 1. Bailout Nation, 2. When Genius Failed, etc….
