Few comments on comments:
Don't you know that Alzheimer's started to increase when the electronic calculator was introduced?
Use it , or lose it!
I am glad that this is a bearish blog, and I want it that way. Bears have more fun!
The best thing that could happen to this country is a depression. We would then have
to question everything and change our ways. A new better country could then emerge
from the primordial ooze!

But I do believe HST nailed the “journalism” thing.

“Journalism isn’t a profession or trade. It’s a cheap catch-all for fuckoffs and misfits.”

LOL - At first I thought HST meant Harry S. Truman. But then I realized it was Hunter S. Thompson.

@Transor Z

"They have shown that a toxic protein found in the brains of individuals with Alzheimer's removes insulin receptors from nerve cells, rendering those neurons insulin resistant. In the brain, insulin and insulin receptors are vital to learning and memory. When insulin binds to a receptor at a synapse, it turns on a mechanism necessary for nerve cells to survive and memories to form. That Alzheimer's disease may in part be caused by insulin resistance in the brain has scientists asking how that process gets initiated."

I think of it as jumper cables. The cannaboids make the connection between receptors in the brain and the functions created through "synmemory-forming synapses" found there which are vital to learning and memory. Which the loss of, is what Alzheimer's is all about. That's probably pretty simplified, I'm no scientist.

Sorry, Pat G.

But you can see why I thought the 7:05 pm post was spam? The second link is an email address to a medical cannabis company, not an article with paragraphs)
