Asian currencies continue to sell off vs the $ on the heels of the news yesterday that South Korea said they will look into hot money inflows stemming from the $ carry trade and the Bank of Indonesia said they are looking into the foreign buying of bills. This follows the news a few weeks ago that Taiwan was limiting foreign deposit holdings and Brazil was taxing foreign inflow transactions. I really like Bing’s farecast tool (formally live.com’s farecast which was formally simply farecast). Excellent resource to let you know if you really should buy now or wI really like Bing’s Farecast. This is one of Microsofts great purchases of the past few years. Being able to know whether to buy your tickets NOW or whether to wait a few weeks is a huge money saver.
Also be sure to check for coupons for your favorite flight services. Expedia and Travelocity often have coupons that can save you a bit, http://www.offers.com/f/flights/ & the Flyertalk.com forums are great places to keep an eye on the latest deals.
