Pink seems to be the exception, but the ticket prices are fairly low.

For example, Kanye/Lady Gaga tour cancelled.

No surprise that concert sales are down, but in this instance I’m guessing the bands in question have a lot to do with the 2-for-1 promotion. Ex: I don’t think Hanson has been much of a draw since they passed through puberty – at least not outside of Oklahoma.

Not just concert tickets; just got this email yesterday.

    From the Travelzoo Newsdesk:

SAN FRANCISCO–OCTOBER 6, 2009– Tickets for the King Tut
exhibit in San Francisco were reduced by 50% in a new
two-for-one offer. Tickets are now $13.75 each when
    purchased in pairs.

Admission is valid after 2PM on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and
Thursdays, Oct. 6-29 at the de Young Museum.

  5. How the Common Man Sees It Says:

Wow, looks like we’ll see more of the common folks and even some of the slaves at these shows. Maybe even more than once per year or decade. They may even be able to afford to bring their families. Times are good for the middle class and poor
