Doesn’t do it for me. Looks like somebody tacked on a bunch of fiberglass to a mid-90s SC400:

And it’s fairly easy to drop a twin-turbo Toyota Supra engine (among other parts) into a mid-90s (Toyota) Lexus SC for a cheap, classy and undercover 500+hp touring coupe.
~~~
BR: Better yet, drop that engine into a Lexus SC430 for a 500 HP roadster — I’ll take one
Not my dream car. Personally, hard to beat a mid-1970’s Ferrari 308gts as far as supercars go…
I agree I like the Audi supercar better and i don’t think it costs as much…
did you see the Corvette Concept in transformers? I really liked it from the side.
The Jalops did note that everything about this car was engineered and built from scratch – this sucker wasn’t manufactured, it was coach-built. I’m not saying that makes it any more appealing or worth the scratch, but it is unique. Even the handful of other authentic coachbuilders in the world routinely draw from large manufacturers’ parts bins.
It looks like something out of a Japanese comic book!
There is a really cool video of the CF weaving machine (1 of 2 in the world) weaving an A-pillar.
Impressive engineering, no doubt.
To each his own, but a 308gts? You could probably get a Ford Focus to outrun just about anything from the mid 70’s. Those were seriously ugly times in the car biz (except, perhaps, for the introduction of the Porsche 911 TurboCarrera in 1975.
I think the Japanese should just give up on sports cars. They simply don’t get it. And although I have always been a hardcore Porsche 911 person, when thinking about great sports cars, only English or Italian examples need apply.
