To each his own, but a 308gts? You could probably get a Ford Focus to outrun just about anything from the mid 70’s. Those were seriously ugly times in the car biz (except, perhaps, for the introduction of the Porsche 911 TurboCarrera in 1975.

I'm not saying that makes it any more appealing or worth the scratch, but it is unique. Even the handful of other authentic coachbuilders in the world routinely draw from large manufacturers' parts bins.
