Asian currencies continue to sell off vs the $ on the heels of the news yesterday that South Korea said they will look into hot money inflows stemming from the $ carry trade and the Bank of Indonesia said they are looking into the foreign buying of bills. This follows the news a few weeks ago that Taiwan was limiting foreign deposit holdings and Brazil was taxing foreign inflow transactions. I hate to rain on your scientific parade but how much has this cost us? What do we expect to learn? And in the grand scheme of things, who really cares? Discover Earth first. It is roughly covered by 2/3rds of water and we have no idea what is contained in its deepest depths. NASA should be spun off as a public corporation.
