The U.S. jawbones about our currency and leaves the rest of the world responsible for intervening to keep it from falling further, faster. Not only does our economy go on due to the kindness of strangers buying our debt, they also prop up the USD. How long can we realistically continue to count on both?

Fed and Treasury have been trying to rally the dollar for weeks now by jawboning and it hasn't done much. It also seems like they made a coordinated effort to squeeze dollar shorts in late October. I don't see why the dollar's slide will stop today simply because Bernie echoed previous statements.
I don't know much about the forex markets, but I would expect a precipitous swoon in the dollar before any decent rally begins. DXY has been grinding lower for months now, but nothing disorderly. I'm looking for some serious volatility before the dollar really bounces. These weak jawboning attempts are only delaying the inevitable nosedive in my opinion.
