It is the contrarian&#039;s job to determine if the crowd is right and the current trend is the trade or if it is another bout of faddish madness.

Considering the profligate fiscal ways of the US government I&#039;d go with the crowd this time. They are hot but they aren&#039;t quite to the maddening fever pitch yet. Also, the media isn&#039;t lamenting the fall of the dollar in a significant way like they would in a real dollar crisis. It is only on the minds of the business media at this point. When it moves to the front page with larger than normal fonts you&#039;ll know the crisis has come to the greenback</description>
