Fascinating discussion on influence, organization, and the spread of ideas.

All about change: Seth Godin argues the Internet has ended mass marketing and revived a human social unit from the distant past: tribes. Founded on shared ideas and values, tribes give ordinary people the power to lead and make big change. He urges us to do so.

I might be mistaken but I think the folks over at Casey Research mention this.

I would say Facet-nating because Godin picks out little facets of (more or less) contemporary social trends and gives talks about them and how ideas grow to become something more. Each talk is like a different flavor, a bite-sized confection about a different facet of the emotional connections we have to our favorite values and ideas, our favorite people, and our favorite brands and products, our favorite technology. He is the rabbai of the global village.
