He got out of prison in ’99 and then he started selling electronics on the internet with his family in ’01 but it didn’t last long.

As a customer of Crazy Eddie’s, you knew that something was up when they’d give you a 10%+ discount for cold, hard cash on top of their already “insane!” prices if you were buying enough and you could haggle.

My experience was that if you walked into one of their stores with a wad of folding money, you got service, you got the merchandise and you got to haggle. If you wanted to pay by check or credit card… no dealing, no haggling, no nothing.

I never thought they’d be able to go public because I thought they were skimming from the get-go. It wasn’t until I learned later of Sam’s involvement as the CPA that I understood how they were able to rig the audits.

Crazy Eddie was a scam from day one and the fraud was carried out in cold blood with no regard for our victims. More details can be found on my http://www.whitecollarfraud.com website.
