Only a day after slowest day of yr, the busiest in a month

Only one day after yesterday’s slowest consolidated NYSE volume day of the year, today’s volume is snapping back to be on pace for 5bish for the first time since Feb 9th. I’ll leave it to the technicians to determine whether that makes today’s closing action more important than usual in terms of the short term future direction.

Yes, the action in C (500mm more than yesterday), FNM, FRE, and AIG are adding a lot of volume and distorting the volume figures but the action in these 4 names highlights the ramp in speculative activity today.
