Forget the Great Depression, the 1987 crash, or the dot com bubble; My pal Howard Lindzon has the right idea with these t-shirts:

Quick question: If the S&P goes back to 666, do the bankster have to give back their bonuses?

I’d at least add the month and day. As for the year, well, there may be others…

just, out of curiosity, why do “these guys” (imprinting T-Shirts) chose such cheap ones?

don’t they realize that the Shirt, itself, is part of “the message”?

past that, the Timestamp, itself, shows cluelessness..

you’d think He’d gone with ~ 14:45:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx (to identify the ‘bottom tick’) in the type of Time that’s, actually, recognizable to the Comps involved..

or, maybe, He’s using that obtuseness to ‘bolster’ his Brand: StockTwits (?) no kidding..

Where are the “Boycott BP” t shirts and bumper stickers? Are there no real capitalists left? There was a facebook for Boycott BP but they stopped – I assumed they were threatened by BP legal, just like the gulf coasters were bribed by BP legal before the states attorneys general stopped them. Too bad lawyers can’t fix oil leaks.

PS The dome didn’t work! Now it’s time for a “junk shot”, pathetic

    Euro bailout slush fund.
This proposed slush fund is 5X what Greece got. So it would be big enough for Portugal, almost big enough for Ireland but not big enough for Spain or Italy – assuming they’d need bailouts proportional to their debts. It certainly sounds like Club Euro didn’t nip the crisis in the bud.

May 10 (Bloomberg) — European Union finance ministers moved toward agreement on an unprecedented loan package worth at least $645 billion to prevent Greece’s fiscal woes from triggering a broader sovereign-debt crisis and shattering confidence in the euro.

Jolted into action by last week’s slide in the currency to a 14-month low and soaring bond yields in Portugal and Spain, the 16 euro governments sketched out plans to make 440 billion euros ($570 billion) available, with 60 billion euros more from the EU’s budget, according to three officials at the talks in Brussels. An additional, unspecified sum may come from the International Monetary Fund, the officials said.

    @ michaelismoe

First of all, those of us on Wall Street are not and do not like the “bankster” term. (90-95% of us aren’t douchbags, by the way).

Second of all: If your defensive strategy is stops (or stop limits) that you initiate once or close to you enter your long position, I have no sympathy for you. You MUST adjust upward/downward your triggers as the market moves, end of freaking story.
