The add was designed specifically for the music lovn’n denizens of New York’s streets. I suspect only the car is wrong for you. I probably could go on and on about the particular things that are referenced by the add but the question was rhetorical I suspect.

Addictive, no – sadly amusing, maybe! Seeing a company use hamsters, a “cute” animal, to shill a product under the guise of edginess using early 90′s rap artists such as Black Sheep, doesn’t exactly evoke a sense of either emotion to me, which I would think the vehicle is supposed to represent (i.e., cute+edgy). I could be wrong, though.

The song “You Could Get With This or You Could get with that” is the Hip Hop group Black Sheep song.. It is an old Hip Hop song back in the day.
Black Sheep is an alternative hip hop duo from Queens, New York, composed of Andres “Dres” Titus and William “Mista Lawnge” McLean.

Aaron, lighten up! I don’t want to have to reach for the Kleenex nor a dictionary when I watch a car commercial. No there isn’t a lot of deep, thought provoking merit to the ad, but its not meant to be. I think we’re just supposed to think, “Hey, I remember that song” and “look, they’re poking fun at the Scion and the Element and the HHR!” and “those hamsters are pretty funny dressed up like Urbanites and rolling large in their loaded up Kia”. Don’t think too hard about it, just give it a laugh!
