Initial Jobless Claims for the week ended Feb 18th totaled 351k, 4k less than expected but the prior week was revised up by 3k to 351k. The 4 week average did fall to 359k from 366k, the lowest since Mar '08. Continuing Claims fell by 52k to the lowest since Aug '08. Also, Extended Benefits fell a net 69k. Bottom line, the data still points to a labor market that continues to improve however lumpy the process feels for many. ...

Great interview… I don’t watch much tv, I guess Pierce Morgan took over for Larry King….. Nice format…. I wish they would have covered more of the atheist issue…. I just happened to have been discussing Pascal’s Wager today in game theory terms with one of my associates… We both agreed that the risk to reward ratio is disprortunately high, based on reliable metrics…. Especialy for The Abrahamic sects…. Too much work for uncertain results, and worst of all, in the afterlife….? In other words, even if the payoff was certain, say, the seventy seven virgins for an Islamic Martyr, we both agreed that we would prefer the thousands of sluts that didn’t quite make it to Paradise….
