Before we do that, can we go down to 1140 or so?

Last year when I said these turkeys were turkeys, they ate my thanksgiving dinner.

I guess it would be nice for the fully invested 401k autopilot world if they’re right again.

tagyourit, I’m afraid too many contrarian types are depressed about not levering long at 667 for another plunge that big. Especially with monetization-induced inflation baked into the recovery (if it ever leaves Wall St)..

How are these companies history of predicting S&P ?

How many % are their end of year targets in mid March usually above the actual outcome ?

I’m reminded of a comment a week or two after the March ’09 bottom: “This cozy consensus that we’ll retest the lows makes me nervous;” particularly after reading an anecdote from a recent Jeff Saut article about the ’68 – ’69 top (http://www.minyanville.com/businessmarkets/articles/jeff-saut-market-top-tech-stock/3/7/2011/id/33195). Hmmm, ’68 -’69: violent protests; a burgeoning younger generation seeking to topple the entrenched status quo.

Did ya ever work a kiosk at a trade show, trying to get people excited about buying a cash incinerator?

  8. MayorQuimby Says:

Well, I’ll have to step in and put myself at the bottom of that list with a projection of 1,050.

Mayor — I will go you 1 better.
