I tweeted about this earlier this week:

Doesn’t quite finish strong, but hits all of the right hypocrisy points:

Bret Baier needs to be warned that bias is seeping into Fox News after his boss admits to mischievously speculating about Obama.

If I want to watch John Stewart, I’d rather do it on my cable channel than see replays on the blog.

And personally, I’m getting a case of John Stewart Fatigue.

Under the heading of “there are two kinds of people in the world”, I’m reminded of one that’s just about at the top of that binary split list, namely…

“There are two kinds of people in the world, those who do things, and those who criticize (or in Stewart’s case mock) things that people do, and the people who do them.”

If it were so easy to solve the world’s problems, we could merely listen to the Olympian, but often sophomoric pronouncements of the NY Times editorial board, whose members reliably, and in concert, know what the perfect result should be–but leave the implementation to achieve it up to the mortals…who after trying, are told that they got it wrong again.

For example, from the 3/26 issue, ” (Yemeni) President Ali Abdullah Saleh has lost his legitimacy and should go as quickly as possible.” (Darn it, he isn’t listening. Maybe he forgot to renew his subscription.)

Yes, we need critics, but constructive ones. Stewart is not a critic, he makes a fine living with clever mocking. It’s funny for a while, but after a steady overdose you risk contracting the Fatigue.
