LOL. And a belated “happy Le Lehman” anniversary to you, too, BR. Agree with all your comments except the notion that Fed bailouts don’t come out of taxpayer pockets. In real terms, it does. Anyone holding cash (because they didn’t deem *other* investments sufficiently worthwhile) should’ve been rewarded far more than they were and have been. The Fed is taking real money out of these people’s pockets.

Karen Finney defends Obama inaction with something like “he can submit legislation — doesn’t mean Congress/Republicans will pass it”. Again, if you don’t proceed with step 1, we’ll not even have a chance to force the issue in step 2.

wunsacon, there have been quite a few “step one’s” made on Obama’s part, this Congress has enacted a record breaking number of filibusters during this administration, they also carry a record low on number of bills passed since Boehner took over leadership.

As for all this “get rid of big government” bullsh-t, there comes a point where one has to question the definition of insurrection as mentioned in the Constitution…where bribed government officials are being paid to get government out of the way of a theoretical corporatist insurrection movement.

A literal hostile corporate takeover of the United States….I say let’s not make like the Swiss in WW2.

Oh, and Barry ain’t no priss either, I’m sure his open honesty hasn’t made him friends in high places either.
