This simultaneous 4 camera shoot (2 at first, then 4 then 3) is really a fascinating example of citizen journalism. It is both stunning and appalling that the UC Davis Campus Police would spray peaceable protestors in the United States.

Kent State is closer than we realize . . .

    Your Kent State observation is spot on. When I first saw these videos my mind immediately went back to 1970 Ohio. The bullet hole in the sculpture is still there as a quiet reminder.
    I appreciate your publishing facts that happen to support some of what the OWS movement is about.
    I still believe that the truth will win out over the “cognitive dissonants” that you drive crazy on a daily basis.

    Agree completely.

    I could only watch part of the video. Its definitely (and sadly) reminiscent of the anti Vietnam war confrontations.

    Hope these brave kids, and the “citizen journalists” can wake our nation to the crimes being perpetrated by the plutocracy.

    I couldn’t watch the whole thing either. Thank God for the non-lethal weapons that have been developed in the last forty years- otherwise the cops would have shot the kids. It’s unbelievable.

    Lt. John Pike: the most hated cop west of the Mississippi. I’m sure the UC Davis “management” will somehow keep their well paying non-deserving plum jobs. But Pike? The way he stepped over the kids’ heads and then sprayed them as you spray cockroaches? This guy gets the Nobel Prize for, for what? Ugly and out of shape too, a total DISGRACE to his uniform, the UC Davis campus, his family too! Now he’s famous!
