After waiving the rule of law in this country, what can we expect from “Just Us” besides selective enforcement of any and all “laws” – environmental, financial, corporate is waiverland central while if anyone gets the SEDITIOUS idea that any of these ‘goings-on’ are protest-worthy or attempt to actually DO anything about it (and this goes for whistleblowers too), well believe me SOMEONE in law enforcement may pay you a visit and will escort you away. Get on the preznint’s last nerve and POOF, you disappear! It’s good ta be da king!

“Atlas shrugged”…”free market”….”get rid of big government”..”Stop letting government pick the winners”.
Like a police department left to ensure that a local gang stops murdering innocent civilians, all the while the gang simply recruits the officers to work for wages that dwarf their police salaries, then officials on he gangs payroll proposing we just eliminate the police altogether because the gang will ultimately stop killing on it’s own, because they’re pacifists by nature, or something..
Dylan Ratigan has squarely hit the nail on the head on this, get money out of politics, stop revolving door allowances and insider manipulation.
I’m baffled why no one, not even Ratigan, asks why “bribery” is even mentioned in the Constitution and categorized as a “high crime”, yet it has become so prevalent.

Again -
“Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors.”
Bribery is a “high crime” according to the founding fathers as indicated in our Constitution, I don’t care what other topic anyone wants to branch into, bribery is a HIGH CRIME.

As long as they keep the money flowing to poltician in campaign contributions (bribes-my opnion), this will continue. A Constitutional amendment is needed to public finance campaigns and make taxable any gift or money to politicians.

Hmm, Canada has partially funded federal public elections since 2000 IIRC but there is a move afoot to disallow government funding – to benefit the ruling Conservative government.
