since I’m signed in – Thanks for this – went thru it this morning .. if this terminal had its sound on “$2M to accountability NASA” that should be in all CAPS .. then something about a Mars mission

Did a little population study. 7% (by dollar amount) is between 100-500MM and 92% for >500MM, the rest being negligible. Of that last bucket (92%) the “budget” is asking for people to manage a median 1.5B appropriation. Note the skew to large numbers, showing a degree of discretionary spending.

If this were a private organization they’d be held accountable. To the dollar, not “one and a half billion.”

Pardon my stupidity but whose stimulas plan is this? PODUS?
Suggest retitling it as “Stimulas Plan for Every Friggin Government Agency.” This is what got PODUS into trouble and behind the eight ball right out of the shute – the initial stimulas plan that was sprayed everywhere and on every earmark and bridge to nowhere the Dems could recall and so, 3 years later, the Repubs are saying it didn’t work.
    So much for “targeted.”

OK. I went to Pro Publica and now understand wherefrom. Makes my blood boil anyway. Good thing everyone around the globe is our friend and is working to make things better for us. Otherwise frittering away our tax dollars like this might be dangerous.

I say we move twenty percent of every Federal Department to the IRS and start collecting some taxes, Roman style.

    HAHAHAHAHAH.. that’s a good one.

  7. teraflop Says:

hankest, evidently you’ve not argued about impacts of 1-penny moves on multi-billion dollar models and settlements. So sorry.
