    As a scientist, these type of headlines are rediculous. What’s wrong about saying the obvious here “EXCESS intake of sugar can be damaging to your health”. Why is it impossible to have a common sense conversation in the US? It doesn’t matter what the topic is.
    By the way, toxicity has a specific meaning in science. The pathological observations regarding sugars does not qualify it as being “toxic”. On the other hand, Robert Lustig is not a trained scientist. He’s a medical doctor. What can you expect?
