The most interesting man in the world; stay thirsty, my friend
    He exports cigars to Cuba
On trophy wives, As someone who never won a trophy
He’d show his feminine side if he had one
His mom has a tatoo that says “SON”

I vote for Xerox ad with the monk: IT’S A MIRACLE!

And for Alka Seltzer: PLOP PLOP FIZZ FIZZ, OH WHAT A RELIEF IT IS

I’ll also endorse The Most Interesting Man In The World…..great scheme.

Best target audience idea? I’d vote for Gillette sponsoring the legendary Friday Night Fights back in the 1950s/early 60s.

    Celebrity Endorsement

Joe Namath – Noxema Shave Cream
Unknown gorgeous blonde Farrah Fawcett slathering shave cream on Joe’s face and as commercial fades Broadway Joe says, “You’ve got a great pair … of hands.”

Joe Namath – Pantyhose (can’t remember brand)
Can’t remember brand, so maybe ad campaign fails, but television image of macho, NFL QB, lady’s man wearing pantyhose was unforgetable.

  9. phb says:

    What about “Where’s the Beef?”

  10. farfetched says:

These lists are always interesting for the older campaigns they leave out.

NESTLES. “Nestle makes the very best, Chocolate.”

Some of the Stan Freberg ad’s that actually treated Americans like they had a brain. “Nucoa, the new ubiquitous comestible overall” He sold an S-load of margarine. And prunes. “Today the pit, tomorrow the wrinkles”.

I’d like to teach the world to sing…..Coke.

  11. farfetched says:

I forgot Brylcreem. “A little dab’l do ya”.

And Wisk…..”Ring around the collar”. That one had to be huge, it drove me crazy.
