Fed commentary and Greenspan too. I hold back.

As I’m not in the mood to rant again on Fed members and some of their comments today, here are bullet points instead from some of the news wires from what we heard from voting members Evans, Lockhart and Williams and you can fill in the blanks from me. Mr. Greenspan is also giving some commentary.

*FED’S EVANS SEES 2.5%, POSSIBLY 3% GROWTH OVER 18 MONTHS

*FED’S EVANS SAYS `I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE MORE ACCOMMODATION’

*EVANS SAYS MY ECONOMETRIC SIMULATIONS DON’T POINT TO HIGHER INFLATION WITH MORE ACCOMMODATION.’ *LOCKHART:RETICENT TO PULL THE TRIGGER ON ANY NEW FED ACTION

*LOCKHART: `ONLY SO MUCH WE CAN DO TO STIMULATE LOAN DEMAND’

*FED’S LOCKHART HASN’T CHANGED OUTLOOK ON U.S. ECONOMY

*WILLIAMS SEES `MODERATE GROWTH’ FOR U.S. ECONOMY

*WILLIAMS: FED LOW RATES ARE HELPING CONSUMERS

*GREENSPAN: STOCKS ARE VERY CHEAP

*GREENSPAN SAYS LOW FED RATES DIDN’T FUEL HOUSING BOOM

*GREENSPAN SAYS LOWERING RATES IN 2003 WAS RIGHT THING.
