Quick cuts and loud noise – the cliches of 2012 – blaspheme the spirit of the original. When rappers re-do the Bible for modern summer blockbuster release, they will surely do The Lord’s Prayer in hip-hop. 1968′s Kubrick expresses himself with long takes – today’s 2012 chop-shop specialist has the long-take concentration of a gnat. Wait until these heartless technicians re-shoot Gone With The Wind, all re-done in CGI. Upshot: just because you CAN do something does not mean that you SHOULD do it.

Based on obi-wan kenobi’s comment, I will pass on watching this clip.

But the question remains, is HAL back at work at Knight Capital?

    Scary stuff!
