    I am personally happy for Apple and all their success!! The problem is the critics will start to surface anytime soon.. As Apple is no longer the underdog over shadowed by say Microsoft the villain who less and less in the picture, you will see.

    American loves the trip to number one, but watch out once you arrive the criticism begins.

    1) Apple sources virtually all their product overseas, no MADE IN AMERICA. Foxconn one of their suppliers in China has been accused of many labour practice issues.
    2) Great they pay 30 cents more than average, but still less that the admired Costco. They still beat the villain WalMart who buys over seas also.
    3) Apple has borrowed or copied a few technologies their-self, not quite as much as Microsoft, but still enough to make a them a target if you want to.

    I am not a techy by any means and can’t make a really long list of possible attack’s, but there are many out there who can. All I’m saying is now that Steve Jobs is no longer with us, don’t be surprised if the tone towards Apple as being the success story and darling changes.. It has happened before many, many times to others.

    So, neglecting the ‘benefits’ Apple store employees receive, how underpaid are they versus the industry average?

    $420,000/x = $206,000/$11.60

    x = $23.65 per hr.

    BR: Maybe you can post a similar analysis of JC Penny after that Apple guy gets done wrecking it. People seem to falsely attribute merit to those who happened to work for an outstanding company during its peak times.

    zombieland. one of the creepiest places i’ve ever experienced.

  5. wally says:

    It’s a great run for them while it lasts.

    Not sure what conclusions anyone should be making from this data. I could probably present #’s from a Caterpillar of John Deere dealer that would be much closer to those Apple figures. I think profitability might matter here….
