    All of the intellect and honesty that is missing from modern entertainment.

    I don’t think a young entertainer from this era has an equivalent path. The game has changed in ways that would exclude a young Billy Joel from the action. Like Malcolm Gladwell’s Outliers posits – you have to be the right person in the right place at the right time. It’s all three or nothing. Smart young entertainer today can’t get on Idol without a friend of the family. They’re looking for a dumb good looking young entertainer to make a few songs and then go away.
