    Munger was true to form and hardly shocking, it was the announcers’ simpering disclaimers and (rather denigratory) excuses for his bluntness that was disconcerting.

    I agree with Munger with regard to what is going on, in fact to the point that I concluded the only reasonable thing to do (at least from a purely financial perspective) was to invest with a HFT firm. If politicians/regulators weren’t being bought off with donations this style of trading would be gone quickly. I find it difficult to believe that someone that doesn’t have a financial interest in HFT could defend the practices it employs.
