This is such a handsome car — but I don’t think I would b e able to relax and enjoy driving it given the rising collector price tag . . .

Reminds me of the old joke: when asked why he sold his sail boat a man responds “It’s cheaper to stand in a cold shower and tear up $100 bills.”

  2. Ever consider the 190SL if you’re interested in a driver? Would be a little less harrowing to leave parked. Though doesn’t seem as likely to appreciate wildly like the 300SL.

    Awesome….a museum piece.

I work with a guy that owns a ’67 Cobra. To him, cruising on a perfect weekend afternoon causes no anxiety whatsoever.

Spoke to a fellow who had driven this fabulous car. Very tall gearing, heavy steering, not as fun as you might think to drive. In looks though, this is a grand classic, one of the very best.
