    The same day that Cassini took the picture from the vicinity of Saturn, this picture was taken of the Earth and Moon by the MESSENGER craft orbiting Mercury.

    Personally, that photo alone is almost worth the $20 or so that the US space program costs me in taxes this year.

      Agreed, completely. A real mind expander, a startling image, and a magnificent shot all in one. I’d buy a print of that and put it on my wall tomorrow.
