LOL. He has utterly, irremediably disgraced himself. I’m ashamed *for* him, since he has apparently lost that capacity wrt himself.

  2. rd says:

Maybe modern politics has gotten to the point where only adrenaline addicts who enjoy playing high speed games of chicken with brick walls want to participate.

  3. ByteMe says:

As I wrote elsewhere: is that the top of a building between his legs or is he just happy to see us?

  4. 873450 says:

Why should NYC voters play 2nd fiddle to Washington D.C. electing Marion Barry?

  5. howardoark says:

Remember Gary Hart? How bout, “Mah, Mah where’s my Pah? Gone to the White House, hah, hah, hah.” And then there was Thomas Jefferson. Wiener just had new tools.

  6. Angryman1 says:

Wiener is a riot. Guy has mental issues. But you can respect Wiener the comedian.

  7. Diablo says:

Call me crazy but am i the only one that thinks this isnt as big a deal as people are making it out to be??? sure, the guy was sending nasty pics to people, but he didnt actually cheat on his wife (as far as i know…but then again, i dont pay too much attention to these circus stories)

People like Kobe Bryant, Tiger Woods…etc all cheated on their wives multiple times, and theyre still making millions from sports and nike, and people still adore them. Wheres the outrage over them???

    • doug says:

Perhaps sports figures who are paid to entertain us are held to a different standard than elected officials who are paid to rule over us?

    • beaufou says:

Sending pics of your dick is cheating in my book. Wiener is not running a marathon, he’s running for public office and seems to have serious personal issues. I’m not outraged, I just want him to go away.
You did make a good point unintentionally though: “all cheated on their wives multiple times, and theyre still making millions”. Politics has become a million-making sport.

Ta Nehisi Coates has a balanced view on Weinergate in the Atlantic

  9. H. Rider Haggard says:

You gotta wonder if Wiener had a non-phallic surname if he’d be so hung up on sharing pics of his wee-wee. Certainly the press would be less interested.

But hey, at least he’s not hiking the Appalachian trail.
