I have long been a fan of Jason Goepfert of SentimenTrader.com for some time now, and this sort of work is the exact reasons why.

They took Fortress Europe, Guadalcanal, and Iwo Jima. I don’t hink a bunch of drunken legislators and some furloughed park police are going to keep them out:

We’ll have to see how well algorithm sentiment holds up.

In the previous “shutdowns” DoD federal civilian employees, I do not know of other agencies, did not lose any pay.

Sequestration cost 6 days’ pay. This one may not cost a day’s pay if the congress makes these furlough days admin leave as in the 1996 shutdown.

Does any one else think this is wrong? It is because they allow them to keep some things going that we have this happening. Why should air traffic controllers be allowed to work when the NIH pub med site can’t? Politicians should have to ride their horses home when they are stupid enough to shut things down. Republicans have figured out that each time they send another bill to fund the things they like (like air traffic controllers) Obama will sign them. So they will keep all the things they like running and things like Headstart will stop. If this keeps up they get everything they want any way.

Obama should hit them where it hurts- close the capital , take away their staffers, take away their police protection , take away their salaries, start shutting down vital operations or he will just get rolled like they did on the sequester. Democrats bet they wouldn’t do it and they did because the democrats let them fund the air traffic controllers so americans can’t tell that any of the the vital things aren’t being done. Stop enabling them
