Bloomberg Surveillance

Bloomberg Surveillance

I am going to be appearing on Bloomberg TV this morning with Tom Keene & Company from 7:00 am – 8:00 am.

Subjects we are discussing:

1. Bubbles: Are markets in a bubble? Why or why not?

2. Bloomberg View:  New gig, columns, etc. ?

3. Whatever the other guests want to talk about . . .

The live TV streams here.

Category: Markets

Please use the comments to demonstrate your own ignorance, unfamiliarity with empirical data and lack of respect for scientific knowledge. Be sure to create straw men and argue against things I have neither said nor implied. If you could repeat previously discredited memes or steer the conversation into irrelevant, off topic discussions, it would be appreciated. Lastly, kindly forgo all civility in your discourse . . . you are, after all, anonymous.

Are there some bubbles out there? Aren’t there always? The better question is are any of them large enough and sufficiently wide in participation to move a major economy.

The Importance of Bubbles: Who’s Pocketing the Cash

Are the buyers of Facebook, Twitter, and other high flyers pension funds and ordinary investors or hedge funds and rich people? In the former case, this bubble would imply some serious upward redistribution as the Mark Zuckerbergs of the world suck money away from the rest of us. In the latter case, it would simply be a question of redistribution among the one percent.

    Ditto Bitcoin [shrug]

Hilarious how these oil traders who were long because Obama fails at everything are still taking their cues from the GOP Media Machine after getting their asses handed to them with the drop in crude.

Why listen to traders who simply parrot back GOP talking points? How’s that worked for you since 2009?

I was listening on WBBR when you responded to Keene on housing. You’re response is quite accurate yet your answer seems to get little attention as though it’s in the rear view mirror. It’s not and I believe it’s going to arrive like a tsunami sized thief in the night.
