    I can’t see a catalyst, either.

    The fact that no one has commented on this means that except for die hard gold holders, there’s little interest in buying GLD. However, in the past gold has gone nowhere for years at a time so odds are it will be years again before the next move up.

    The next catalyst is when people no longer BELIEVE the Fed’s monetary policy is in control. Not that it is, but just that they are currently giving it credence. When that ends and all the hype starts surrounding precious metals instead, then that’s when the change will happen. It’s all beliefs. YOU had a blog posting on this very concept a couple months ago Barry.
