As a rational outside investor, I would just like to question whether outside investors are actually rational — if you follow my logic. This study is really interesting, but it does have to make a few assumptions.

“First, we analyze the special cases that we do understand well: markets with either no noise traders or no insiders.”

I.e., “the vast majority of outside investors, who possess no information but learn from prices and trade rationally…”

Are you saying you understand me, the outside investor, well? Because today I’m wearing plaid and stripes at the same time.
