    Considering the cost per kg to put something in geostationary orbit, seems less expensive to do GWs of land-based solar, and eventual interconnections, for the same price.

    Wouldn’t capturing sunlight in outer space that was not directed at the earth and beaming it down result in global warming. Effectively, we will have increased the amount of sunlight reaching the earth. That additional energy once used would I think result in additional heating.
