  1. [...] – Tesla is trying to remove the middleman in selling cars. There are some interesting parallels to the real estate industry in this conversation. [...]

Maybe they should just set up virtual showrooms. People can teleconference with their salesperson and get everything except for a test drive. Then arrange for a free 1 day lease from a car rental company for those who are still interested.

First, reason #359 why I prefer Bloomberg over CNBC.

Second, Trish Regan is equal parts hot and smart. She needs her own prime time show.

Third, that guy needs to be fired if he’s actually being paid to speak. When he wasn’t talking over Regan, he was making himself look like an idiot with excuses for lowering competition for the sake of the seller. The consumer attempting to shop across brands was of no consequence to him. And worse
he never acknowledged that addressing the GM ignition problem only after people were killed was idiotic. This guy must have gone to the Joe Isuzu school of shilling and graduated last in his class.

Turns out this shill is a former Karl Rove GOP PAC guy…

What hypocrisy. 20+ years of “get govt out of the way of business” speak, then he turns around and devotes himself to make it harder for innovators like Musk and Tesla to do business. I smell a Big Oil plant…
