    That MarketWatch article should be titled “Why Millenials are protecting themselves against the RE/Morgage circus”.
    Perhaps they will be the first generation to get smart about prioritizing high performing investments in their financial lives, albeit not necessarily by choice. Financial security, via un-emotional decision making, is the new American dream.

    In response to the, “Why Millennials Are Hurting the Real Estate Recovery” piece, consider that the oldest of the Millennial generation was only 26/27 when the ’08 recession occurred. This largely left the entire generation on the sidelines for this last market recovery. So while the stock and real estate markets have recovered, this [my] generation is still suffering from high unemployment coupled with stagnant wages.
