Please use the comments to demonstrate your own ignorance, unfamiliarity with empirical data and lack of respect for scientific knowledge. Be sure to create straw men and argue against things I have neither said nor implied. If you could repeat previously discredited memes or steer the conversation into irrelevant, off topic discussions, it would be appreciated. Lastly, kindly forgo all civility in your discourse . . . you are, after all, anonymous.

Have you considered that technology by itself is reducing emissions ? In 10 years the mileage per gallon of my cars halved, and jet engines did even better. Basically any emission (here included noise) is a waste from the point of view of the process, and wastes are pennies going up the funnel or exhaust. Le coche et la mouche ?

    1) You’ve forgotten Ahmdahl’s Law. If the US plunged ourselves into a DPRK-like stone age and ceased all human-caused CO2 production (including breathing), it would not significantly affect the world-wide total absorbed long-wave radiation.

    2) Hate to annoy with actual data, but in most of the world the sea is not rising. 75 years if zero change at Almeda, for example: http://www.psmsl.org/data/obtaining/stations/437.php
